New Book, New Blog

New Book, New Blog

Welcome to the blog! This is where I shall write about my books, other peoples’ books, inspirations and trivia.

My first post is to welcome you to the blog, and if you have read, or are currently reading The Spectre and the Raven, my thanks are with you. I hope it is enjoyed. I am planning to enter the book into some book awards, for categories of this year, or next. For those that have not read it yet, The Spectre and the Raven can be found on Amazon – in print or ebook format, or on Kobo – in ebook format only.

The Bard and the Bear is a name I’ve pondered on using for a long time, and later on in my blogging, I may expand on where that came from and why. For now though, I will leave you with a bit about myself. My name is Ned, as I’m sure many of you are aware by now, I live in Norwich, which is to the east of United Kingdom, and I live with my partner. I’ve read novels since an early age. My favourite novel is His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, though I also greatly admire The Hobbit by J. R. Tolkien, The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James, and The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I have also written stories since an early age, the earliest that I can remember is a short story from when I was eight about a knight and his sentient bear companion. That bear has nothing to do with the inspiration for the blog’s name, however, and I hope the blog will have its own logo soon too.

That’s all for the first entry, I hope you will enjoy my future works!
